The golf experience at CCC is inviting yet challenging for players of all levels. Tom Bendelow, one of America’s pioneer golf course architects, designed the original nine holes which boasted sand greens, unwatered fairways, and cornfields and pastures. An additional purchase of 60 acres allowed for the construction of the 18 hole course. In 1968, architect Edward Lawrence Packard lead the course improvement project to "make the golf course as interesting as possible for all golfers." While some greens and tees still date back to 1923, this project allowed for the course to evolve with the addition of ponds, trees, the halfway house, and putting green. Today, mature landscaped trees, bent grass tees, fairways and greens, and new bunker sand are just a few course highlights. There are four teeing options ranging from 6,452 yards to 5,533 yards. Approximately 300 golfing members play 12,000 rounds annually at their convenience. In 2022, the course upgrades will include a brand new Halfway House, well-run course irrigation and new golf course accessories.
